It's Raspberry Time!

The raspberries are ready for picking...

Self-picked raspberries:  $4.50 per pound   (roughly $6.75/qt)
Ready-picked raspberries:  $5 per pint

If you're interested in picking your own, we will initially open only by appointment.  Give us a call and we'll schedule you in.   523-6191

Too sad...

The early frost damage was worse than we thought.  The second field has ripened but there is not nearly as much in there as we had hoped.

Unfortunately we won't be able to open for public self-picking this year.  We will try to schedule in a few folks for some evening appointments but those will be very limited.  We've already got some of you on our list for that, but call and leave your name and number if Thursday evening might work for you.

Sorry that we didn't know this sooner.  You might also try the Ohtonen, Niemela or Forsman farms.

Just Starting...

We were finally able to pick a couple of full quarts (9) from 7 rows of Cavendish last night.   Definitely not enough for pickers yet since the Jewel and Sparkle are a little behind that, but if we get a little warm weather we may be able to start filling some orders soon.  Hang in there...they are coming!

2015 Strawberry Season beginning in a few weeks.

No, they aren't ready yet, but we have seen a rare few that are starting to turn color.   There still is a lot of work to do on the farm to get ready - rock picking, mulching and getting out the carriers and quarts.   Probably we will have some berries starting around the 4th but may have to hold out until after Strawberry Festival (July 10th and 11th) to open for self-picking.
